This is so neat, love it.
“Alan Belcher has produced new work for this exhibition, a ceramic multiple edition. Known for his pioneering of the “photo-object_ genre (artworks which fused the disciplines of photography and sculpture); he has furthered that exploration with a multiple series of what can be seen as perhaps the ultimate “photo-object”. Belcher has taken the ephemeral nature of the universal jpeg, and solidified its default icon into a standard image surrogate. The edition entitled “______.jpg” was fabricated in China, is a series of 125 pieces each signed and dated.” 25 Years of Talent at Marianne Boesky Gallery, curated by Michelle Grabner May 2 - Jun 16, 2012.
EDIT: Here’s Alan Belcher’s profile at Saatchi Online.
I kinda want one of these. And I never would have been curious about this question until now, but: who took this photo originally, and who now owns the rights to it? (I assume Apple) But until it was made into an object like this, I never even thought twice about the image itself.

I just love this image, I love books :)
By Gurbuz Dogan
Gurbuz has done some stunning published New Yorker covers that many of you may remember. This wonderful image uses a physical, tangible relationship between the objects to talk about digital v. printed books. For publication, I probably would have asked him to crop this closer on just the first few books so that it would be a faster, cleaner read.
God never promised us a perfect life. Once I accepted Christ over 22 years ago, I thought my life would be easier. However, I have found that it is actually a bit harder. Why you may ask? Because I expect as much if not more of myself than Christ does. I am also less forgiving of myself than Christ is. Christ forgives us for all that we do. I constantly remind myself of what wrongs I have done, even though I live a good life, I am very hard on myself. And I must say that I am pretty hard on my spouse and I want perfection. Christ has to remind me that it is not about us being “perfect”, it is about us being perfect in his eyes :) It is about us living a life that is pleasing to him, not perfect, pleasing and loving.

I believe social media is about more than numbers. Numbers and scores, especially high ones, seem to always make us feel good. But what is the true meaning of success on the social network?
Is it finally time for Seo to step down and let social media do the advertising for brand names and organizations on-line?
